Avocado Festival '11
As it seems every year the Carp Avo Fest is the annual event that really gets the Unity Shoppe Toy Run motorcycle raffle going. Everyone's juices really get going. So off I went to help Pete at the booth, make some noise, and sell some tickets. It always helps to have a hot chick in the booth to generate ticket sales so Joanna joined us in the booth on Friday. Saturday off I went to help out as the day was really picking up steam as were the ticket sales. Pete recruited Mark the magic man to add energy, we were really making noise and the ticket sales were picking up. As my day at the booth wound down I took time to check out the music of Joanna's husband David and his band. What a great weekend at the Avo Fest. We will be pushing hard to sell the 300 tickets at $100 each to raffle the 2012 Halley Davidson Road King Shrinners Police Edition. Of course all of the proceeds will go to Unity Shoppe to support their programs helping those in need throughout the area. On December the 11th the 24th annual Santa Barbara Motorcycle Toy Run will take place after which the motorcycle will be raffled off. This event is always a great party. Complete with other raffle prizes, a BBQ, music, and special guests. So anyone interested in raffle tickets through the Unity Shoppe, Santa Barbara riders, oh yes and of course Me!
As you may or may not know I will be heading back to work on the 17th . On the 10th I'm heading on my "fitness for duty" ride. On the 16th I will see the company Doctor who make the decision. We we'll see how that plays out. I'm ready for the show to go on..
